Dear Parents and Guardians,
It’s hard to believe that it is almost time to start another school year! The 2018-2019 academic year gets underway Wednesday, August 22, for grades 1-12 and Monday, August 27, for our kindergarten students and Hilltop preschoolers.
Our staff has been extremely busy over the summer preparing for yet another great year! We have made over 40 changes to our district staff through retirement, resignations, new hires, and internal moves such as grade-level and building moves. Each of these changes has been made with strategic planning, maximizing our resources, and being mindful of finances. Each new hire/move is carefully considered as we prepare for staffing in the new PK-12 building.
The construction of our new PK-12 building is in full swing. The outside structure is almost completed and work is underway inside. Most importantly for our staff, students, and community is that the project continues to be ON TIME and ON BUDGET and slated to open in the fall of 2019.
Our focus continues to be on high academic student achievement and creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for students to perform to their top potential. We will continue pushing to move forward in all areas of achievement.
Finally, I would like to say that if at any point during the school year you have any concerns, know my door is always open. I am looking forward to a productive and exciting year!
