Free Summer Lunch Program Runs May 22-August 18 Summer Lunch Program

Reading's Summer lunch program will operate Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Central Elementary Cafeteria, from May 22-August 18. Free lunches for children ages 1-18, along with special programs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Read more for details.


Reading High and Central Offices Relocate-May 22

Reading High School and Central Elementary are finishing up the packing process. The high school office staff will be located at Central beginning Monday, May 22 and Central will move to Central on Vine.

Reading Volleyball Summer Camp Changes

Due to a gym conflict, the times for camp will change.  3rd-6th grade will be 12:00-2:30 and 7th-9th will be 3:00-5:30.  The dates will remain May 30, 31 and June 1.  All sessions will be held in Central’s gym. 

Groundbreaking Ceremony Held on May 7 Reading Students Help Break Ground for New School

Thank you to all the members of the community, legislators and special guests who shared in our groundbreaking ceremony for our new PK-12 school on May 7. 

Change in Board of Education Meeting Location

Due to the move and relocation of students, the Reading Board of Education's regular meetings will be held at Hilltop Elementary beginning with the meeting held on May 24, 2017.

On Tuesday, April 18, the top 10 academic seniors at Reading High School were recognized for their accomplishments. In turn, our top students recognized the teachers who have had the most influence on their lives.

2017-2018 Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration will begin on February 1, 2017.

All completed registration packets must be submitted in person at the Central Registration Office, 1301 Bonnell Avenue, 2nd Floor. Packets and a list of required documentation is available in each elementary office, on-line @ www.readingschools.org or at the board office.
