Summer Lunch Program
Daily breakfast and lunch distribution will continue through our free summer lunch program. The Reading Community City School District will be serving free meals for children Ages 1-18 beginning on June 8, 2020. The exact end date in August for the summer lunch program has not been set due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty of the start date of the 2020-21 school year.
On Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., lunch for that day, and breakfast for the next day will be provided. Social distancing guidelines and health precautions will be in place as we distribute meals curbside in the front circle at Reading High School, 810 E. Columbia Avenue, Reading.
Reading families and those in surrounding communities are welcome to participate in our free summer meal program. Both cold and hot family-friendly meals will be offered. See the menu below. Adults can also purchase a meal at a reduced rate of $2 per meal.
