Today our Junior/Senior High School Students took part in a school wide College and Career Readiness day. Every grade level had a targeted experience that directly related to college and career success. The following are the list of activities:
7th - Competed in a writing scrimmage - where students practiced solid writing techniques that they will be assessed on at the end of the year state tests.
8th - Manufacturing Day - 8th grade students were able to take a tour of one of four different advanced manufacturing companies. The companies included: General Tool, Monti Inc., Vega, and Lincoln Harris
9th - Took a tour of Great Oaks to see what options they may take advantage of during their junior and senior year.
10th - Took the PSAT - Practice College entrance test - These scores will be available in December
11th - Took the ASVAB
12th - Speed Mentoring - Professionals from around Cincinnati came to discuss post HS options. A wide variety of companies were present from the Bengals to the trades and many more.
We are very pleased with the results of the day!
