Dear Families,

• In the event of inclement weather, RCCSD will operate on either a two-hour delay schedule or close.

  • In a 2-hour delay, there would be no AM preschool.​​​​​​​

• We will communicate any delay or closing information by 5:30 am through email, phone notification, text message, district website, and social media. Please be aware local media outlets have changed their reporting format and as a result, we can not guarantee they will report our closings or delays. We will still notify them but we are unsure how they will release this information.

• Many factors are considered, including local road conditions, parking lot/sidewalk conditions, regional road conditions, and forecasts.

• Buses will pick up students two hours later than usual at their bus stop locations.

School Starting Times:

• RJSH - 9:20 am (doors open at 9:05 am)

• RES - 10:10 am (doors open at 9:55 am)

  • If closed, all evening extracurricular activities will be canceled unless otherwise communicated.

  • In the event of inclement weather arriving after the start of the school day, RES students will not be released except upon direct contact with the parent or person(s) listed on the student’s emergency card. If bus transportation cannot be provided, students will be kept at school until a parent can pick up their student.
