Reading High School Celebrates 8 Student-Athletes on Their Signing Day!

Reading High School celebrated an incredible group of student-athletes today as eight seniors signed to play their sports in college next year.

The gym was packed with proud family members, teammates, and friends as these Blue Devils made their college commitments official:

  • Kylie Allen is heading to Wilmington College for soccer
  • Branden Barker will run track at Indiana Tech
  • Frank Carnevale will play soccer at Mount Saint Joseph
  • Connor Davis is playing baseball at Morehead State
  • Charlie Hess will continue his baseball career at Walsh
  • Hailey Mowell is playing softball at Bluffton University
  • Gage Murphy will wrestle at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
  • Heather Pare will join the track and field team at Northern Kentucky University

Getting to this point hasn't been easy – it took years of early morning practices, long tournament weekends, and balancing sports with schoolwork. Behind each athlete is an amazing support system of parents, coaches, teammates, teachers, friends, and community members.

These eight seniors have left their mark on Reading athletics, and now they're ready to take on their next challenge. While they'll be wearing different uniforms next year, they'll always be Blue Devils at heart.

We can't wait to see what they accomplish at the next level. Congratulations to all of our college-bound athletes and their families, and remember, Once a Blue Devil, Always a Blue Devil!
