RBD Homecoming Week: September 14th - 20th

It’s Homecoming Week in Reading, and our Blue Devils are set for a busy and exciting slate of athletic events, capped off with the annual parade, a community pep rally, and the Homecoming game!

The week begins Monday, September 15th, with golf at the CHL Championship, multiple volleyball matches, and both boys and girls soccer in action. Competitions continue throughout the week, highlighted by Junior High Football at Madeira on Tuesday and a full Wednesday lineup including golf, volleyball, and soccer.

The spotlight shines on Thursday, September 18th, when the Homecoming Parade steps off at 6:00 PM from the Central Practice Field, which will also serve as the staging location. The parade route (pictured below) will travel along Jefferson Avenue, Benson Street, Market Street, Pleasant Street, and West Street before finishing at Veterans Memorial Stadium. At the conclusion of the parade, all community members are invited to the stadium for a Pep Rally beginning at 7:00 PM. This rally will feature introducing our Homecoming Court, school spirit, and a celebration of our athletes and community.

On Friday night, September 19th, the Blue Devils take the field against Madeira for the Homecoming football game at 7:00 PM. At halftime, this year’s Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned, followed by another great performance from the Reading Marching Band as they present their show, “A Night on Broadway.”
The week wraps up Saturday with cross country competing at the Princeton Invite, JV Football at Madeira, and both boys and girls soccer in action against Norwood.

We look forward to celebrating Homecoming Week with our entire Reading community—come out, support our Blue Devils, and be a part of this special tradition!
