More Reading Artists Selected to Have Art on Display

Congratulations to three creative Reading High School students — Josie DeHond, Klair Charlton, and Mya Montgomery — who will have their artwork displayed at the For the Love of Kids Festival on Sunday, October 19th at Washington Park in Cincinnati. Their pieces were selected by the Beech Acres Marketing Team for the show themed “Heart to Art.” Way to go, Reading Artists!

The For the Love of Kids Festival is hosted by Beech Acres Parenting Center, an organization dedicated to strengthening families, caregivers, and children through supportive services and programs. Held in the heart of Washington Park, the event is free and open to the public, inviting families from across the city to join in a day of connection and celebration. The festival runs from noon until 4:00 p.m., offering plenty of opportunities for families to experience the fun together.

A special highlight of the festival is the “Heart to Art” showcase, where the Beech Acres Marketing Team curates selected student artwork. This exhibit gives young artists a chance to share their creativity and messages with the broader community. For Josie, Klair, and Mya, being chosen means their work will be seen by hundreds of festivalgoers, offering them a platform to shine while contributing to an event that celebrates children, families, and creativity. Their selection is a significant honor and an exciting opportunity to represent Reading High School on such a meaningful stage.
