High School Artists Bring First Grade Monsters to Life

Creativity came to life in a special collaboration between Mrs. Laura Freese’s High School Art students and our 1st graders. First grade students began the project by imagining and drawing their own unique monster characters, each filled with personality, bright colors, and creative details.

High school art students then took those drawings and transformed them into handmade stuffed animals, carefully recreating the imaginative features from each original design. When the finished monsters were presented, the excitement was contagious as first graders saw their artwork brought to life in a whole new way.

This project not only celebrated student creativity but also built meaningful connections between younger and older students, showcasing the power of collaboration, mentorship, and the arts in our school community.
