Students at Reading Jr./Sr. High School recently had the opportunity to experience the skilled trades firsthand as Brighton Tru-Edge visited the district’s new Innovation Hub to provide a live welding demonstration.
During the visit, students learned about welding techniques, industry equipment, safety practices, and the growing demand for careers in manufacturing and skilled trades. The hands-on experience allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-world career opportunities while exploring pathways available after graduation.
The demonstration highlighted the purpose of Reading’s new Innovation Hub, which was designed to create authentic, career-focused learning experiences for students through business and industry partnerships.
