Reading Community City Schools is celebrating the contributions of longtime Kitchen Manager Randi Miller while welcoming a familiar face into a new leadership role within our Food Service Department.
Randi recently accepted a new position as Food Service Director for Fairfield City Schools. During her time at Reading, Randi served our students and staff with tremendous dedication and helped build a food service operation our district can be proud of.
One example of that commitment came this year when Reading earned the Hamilton County Public Health Clean Kitchen Award for the second consecutive year. The Clean Kitchen Award recognizes top-performing licensed food service operations for their commitment to sanitation and food safety education. To qualify, facilities must demonstrate an outstanding inspection record over a two-year period, including fewer than three violations and no critical or repeat violations, while also meeting food safety education and certification requirements.
Earning the award in consecutive years is a reflection not only of Randi's leadership, but also of the care and professionalism of our entire food service team.
As Randi begins this exciting next chapter at Fairfield, Reading is fortunate to have an experienced member of our own team ready to step forward. Holly Waltz has been named Interim Kitchen Manager.
Holly has served Reading Community City Schools for 20 years, bringing two decades of experience, knowledge, and commitment to our students and families. She knows our district, our students, and our food service operation and is looking forward to taking on this new leadership opportunity.
We congratulate Randi and thank her for everything she has done for Reading Schools. We wish her tremendous success in her new role at Fairfield.
At the same time, we are excited to congratulate Holly as she begins her new role and look forward to seeing her build upon the strong foundation she has helped create during her 20 years as a Blue Devil.
