Ohio’s latest district report card gives us several reasons to celebrate our students and staff. Reading earned 5 stars in Graduation, 4 stars in College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness, and 4 stars in Progress.
Our graduation rating rose from 3 to 5 stars. The four-year graduation rate reached 97.1%, and the five-year rate reached 96.5%. These results reflect years of work by students, families, teachers, counselors, and staff to help students reach graduation.
We also rose from 3 to 4 stars in College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness. 79.1% of the measured graduating cohort met the state’s readiness criteria, up from 64.0% the previous year. That progress reflects our commitment to helping students prepare for their next step, whether it is college, a career, military service, or another opportunity.
Reading maintained a 4-star Progress rating, showing that our students continue to achieve growth beyond the state’s expectations. We are proud of that work and remain focused on helping every student grow.
