New District Mask Policy

The Reading Board of Education voted to rescind the resolution requiring facial coverings. The Board approved a new resolution making masks optional, not mandated, however strongly encouraged for all students and staff. This resolution goes into effect beginning Monday, November 1, 2021.

Tonight's Board of Education Special Board Meeting is Cancelled

Tonight's Board of Education Special Meeting has been canceled. The meeting has been rescheduled for Friday, October 29th at 5:30.

Special Board of Education Meeting - Friday, October 29, 2021

In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, notice is hereby given that the Reading Community City School District Board of Education is holding a Special Board Meeting on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be streamed on youtube via RCCSD Live for the purpose of the following:
1. Board discussion of revised Ohio Department of Health quarantine protocols and implications of current mask requirements.
2. Consideration to revise current mask requirements in Reading Community City Schools.

*Board action will be taken on both items.

Mrs. Marquez selected as Warm 98.5 Teacher of the Week!

Congratulations to Mrs. Marquez on being selected as the Warm 98.5 Teacher of the Week! Mrs. Marquez was nominated by one of her student's parents. The parent shared that Mrs. Marquez helped make reading and English interesting and fun for their son by incorporating music into the curriculum to help generate interest.

No School - October 15th

There is no school for students on Friday, October 15th due to staff in-service day.

Reading Elementary Fun Run

Our Walk-a-Thon fundraiser is BACK! Through the week of October
25th students will walk designated course around the school, learn
health and fitness tips, and dance to Halloween tunes. This event allows our students to raise money for their school without selling catalog items.
