Board Reviews Draft of Reopening Plan; Community Forum Set for 7/28

At a special Board of Education meeting held this evening, Reading Superintendent Jason Enix gave a presentation and shared a draft of the Reading School District's 2020-2021 Reopening Plan. Both the plan and the presentation are attached.

On Tuesday, July 28, the district will be hosting a Virtual Community Forum at 6:30 p.m. to provide information and answer questions about the reopening plan. Please submit your questions in advance by 12:00 p.m. on 7/28 to questions@readingschools.org. Use the subject line - Community Forum. You can view the forum on the RCCSD YouTube Channel

A special Board meeting is scheduled for July 29 at 5:30 p.m. for final board action on the reopening plan. After this meeting, we communicate these final reopening plans with our parents.

Our goal is to create a plan that prioritizes the value of education and the health, safety, and well-being of every staff member and student who walks into our building. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work through this process.
